Gladiolus Bulbs

Gladiolus is a flower of the Iridaceae family. It originated in Africa and Eurasia, and it spread as a spontaneous flower in the European Mediterranean area, in central and eastern Europe and in some tropical African islands, as well as in southern Africa. It was named by Plinius, and its name is due to the leaves which look like the short Roman sword called Gladius.
